Impact Report 2025 🎉

The Humane Society of Central Texas’ 2025 Impact Report highlights a year of lifesaving progress for pets and the people who love them. Inside, you will find key numbers, stories from the shelter and community, and a clear look at how your support helped save lives, keep families together, and strengthen our safety net for animals across Central Texas.

Highlights of 2025

Mac

After months of severe neglect and intentional starvation, Mac weighed just 28 pounds, less than half of what he should weigh. When we saw the plea for help, we stepped in. Mac is now in foster care and receiving medical attention, and his progress so far has been remarkable. He still has a long road ahead, but his resilience and gentle nature continue to shine through.

Sammy

Sammy was having a hard time adjusting to life with her furry siblings and was scheduled to be surrendered to the shelter. With hands-on support and guidance from our staff dog trainer, her family was able to address the challenges and build a plan that worked for everyone. Today, Sammy is thriving at home and, most importantly, is right where she belongs—there to stay.

Sloane

Sloane and her seven puppies were found abandoned on a remote back country road with no safety or support. We stepped in to place them in a foster home, where Sloane, once frightened and protective, learned to trust humans again. Now thriving, Sloane already has a family waiting to welcome her home, and her puppies are nearly ready for adoption!
